Relaxation Massage in Ashgrove

As a dual Accredited Exercise Physiologist and Massage Therapist, I'm delighted to be able to offer my clients a massage service to loosen and relax. My primary style of massage is Swedish relaxation, however, I am also able to provide sports massage and trigger point massage if requested.

  • Massage therapy can be a very effective way to reduce and manage chronic pain, such as low back pain, fibromyalgia, and arthritis. It can also be helpful in preventing and rehabilitating sports and musculoskeletal injuries. Massage can reduce inflammation, improve healing time, and restore function to injured muscles, tendons, and ligaments.
  • In addition to its physical benefits, massage therapy can also be useful in managing metabolic conditions like diabetes and obesity. It can reduce stress and improve sleep, which can be beneficial for people with these conditions.
  • Massage therapy has been shown to have positive effects on heart and brain health as well. It can lower blood pressure, reduce stress, and improve mood and cognitive function.
  • Finally, massage therapy can be helpful in managing neurological disorders and their symptoms. For example, it can reduce tremors and improve mobility in people with Parkinson's disease.

"I am a strong advocate of education and personalized massage as a means of preventing chronic illness and injury. I am dedicated to assisting individuals in maintaining and enhancing their overall health through tailored relaxation massage and as well as specialised techniques such as sports and trigger point massage."

What Will Happen During Your Massage Consultation?

  • You can expect to discuss your health history, any current or past injuries or conditions, and your massage goals with your therapist.
  • Your therapist may also ask you about any specific areas of concern or discomfort, as well as any allergies or sensitivities you may have.
  • During the consultation, your therapist may also perform a brief physical assessment to identify any areas of tension or dysfunction in the body.
  • It is important to be honest and open with your therapist during the consultation, as this will help them to provide the most effective and safe treatment for you.
